I happily belong to a group called the Genealogy Working Group. We meet every other Tuesday at a local library. We are a loosely organized 'organization' with a ‘president’ who leads the group in that he sets the calendar with the help of a member who works in the library, and opens the meetings and then asks who has information to share. He jokingly asked at our last meeting, while we were discussing our December Christmas luncheon at a local brew pub and restaurant, were we a genealogy organization with a drinking problem, or a drinking organization with a genealogy problem. What we are is a hard -core genealogy group (some of us more focused than others) who really enjoy what we do. And really, few of us drink, and those in moderation. ;) Her marriage return and marriage record stated her name WAS Alice Boyer. So when I saw a young woman named Alice living so close to Henry Siegfried, I jumped to the conclusion that this Alice was my Barbara Alice. It is not a good working model to jump to conclusions, but I was desperate. A Wonderful Friend Named Ruth
